Is nitrous cheating?
nos is cheating becuase it is a choice its you dont have to spray every run its not a true built in part of you engine its. like steriods in sportss. but i guess barry bonds is still around huh?
its limitations are, not a constant power adder, the fuel system and internals need improvment over stock for anything over a 75 shot, and thats it, compared to other power adders, its the easiest to install, but not the absolute best. its greatest asset is the fact that you can add 150 hp for 300 bucks, its cheap and thats good for guys on a budget

so then is it cheating to use a boost controller in a turbo car? if you call it cheating, that means that you would be ok shouting "hey thats not fair" after a race. but the fact is, no matter hwo you get there, power is power, and if someone has a 10 sec nitrous car or a 10 sec SC car it makes no difference. there is absolutely no logic whatsoever behind the "cheating" philosophy. its not always there? so? i mean... do you actually believe that crap?
bignic, im gunna refer you to my previous rant.
and riceeater, what motor are you talking about? a 75 shot isnt very big. a stock ls1 will hold 150 easily.

i run an untuned 75 shot right now and could easily double it with the stock fuel setup.
its the easiest to install? thats a benefit not a limitation...
i do believe its the best power adder.
and bang for the buck is another benefit.
and specter, i've brought up the calling it "nos" issue before and got *****ed at. they don't understand it makes them sound like ricers

its not built into your engine? neither is a sc or turbo, they are completly apart from the motor...
its cool nick, i wont even need a fire suit for it, i dont see a legit argument starting or containing the word nos (or naws, nawzz, NOS G whaddup yo?, or any other similar combination).
i will say it again, to consider it cheating makes you ignorant on the subject. by default, no exceptions.
the "intelligent" argument is to talk preference. in all honesty, if i had the money I would go with a turbo. but I dont. so nitrous it is, because for its money and added benefits, its a good choice for me.

okay i use nos cus its the most common brand and whats its often refered too however if we must be nit pickers then its "spray" and when i say that its not built into you engine if you put a new cam shaft in the engine and it adds 50 horse then you dicide one race let me unhook my freaking cam shaft ya that will make a good race your car dosent work if unhook you bottle then the car retuns to its natural state now as far a forced induction goes its a legitimet to say that you could essentally pull a turbo out of a car and it would still run at its N/A level however that would invole removeing the turobo putting back on the stock intakes so on and so forth supercharge same way reconnecting stock pulley systems and what not now with "gas" (wouldnt want nickdotcom to boohoo about brand names) you dont hit the button it dosent spray i guess what im saying is that n02 itself is not cheating that it is an avenue to cheat with in the fact that it can be hidden and used only when needed its like to quote an eriler poast a conceled knife ina fist fight just having it is not cheating but the fact that it give such an advantage over a car that would normally be on your level makes it i guess the best way again to discribe it is that barry bonds is breaking hank arrons record for home runs but hank did it with no roids whos the better hitter in your book?
1) if you are racing in something that really matters (like money for instance) and you dont take a good look under your opponents hood then its all your fault
a)nitrous is easy to partially conceal, but if you know what you are looking for its easy to spot
b)hiding nitrous is the same thing as lying about boost levels, or cam specs. both can be faked to make your car seem slower. The kids around my area tried hussling me in a race a few weeks back. they talked amongst themselves "man, too bad we ran out of race fuel, we're going to have to go get the pump gas fuel for this car tonight" as they clearly put c16 into the tank. the kid was running a car that had been sold on the LOCAL forum with all its specs listed and tried telling me it ran a 13.8 (which it did, but its because he couldnt drive, the car is capable of low 12s). they lie about boost, engine work, each and every one of them is running just a stock dsm with a bov
. so dont act like nitrous is the only avenue for cheating. turbo's are worse for that IMO.
you can do the same thing with NA cars. there was an episode of pinks where the guys came in with an old monte carlo that was probably good for 10s just motor and had a big shot to back it up. they never once had to use the nitrous, but they bluffed their way to the win. seriously, give me 1 good reason why nitrous is any different than the other power adders
