Its another form of forced induction, if thats cheating then turbochargers and superchargers are another way of cheating.

Lmfao. It proves a point of mine.

I like how most of the people who see Nitrous as "fake HP and/or cheating" have no reason to back it up, but just "feel" that it is. Then when they get pwned they make comments like this.

Oh, that means my point is people with unjustified and retarded reasoning are, in fact, themselves, retarded.

cant we just leave this one dead......since nobody can make a decent point agaist gas even though my opinions have changed over time this is the one decent point agaist spray...

nitrous oxycide (sp) is not a form of forced induction N20 is infact a chemical additive which cause the explosions that drive you engine to become much more powerful and therefore more rapid. while forced induction is mearly increasing the standard air to gas mixture used in all automobiles nitrous is outside that relm nitrous chemically alters the way your motor works and thusly is not true engine mod in the conventional sence

thats actually a good point, but it's still a fuel/accelerant/gas. thats like saying top fuel isnt a true engine mod.

and nic, have i ever told you, you really make me feel smart? lol i mean, i get 50s and 60s in english, but i could teach you how to spell![8D] j/p man

thats not true either.

FI does not change ur air to fuel ratio. doing this would cause a lean condition in your engine and cause major damage. It forces more air into the chamber per cycle, allowing you to add more fuel. the combustion of fuel is an equilibrium based on the amount of oxygen available. this is why simply adding more fuel does not give u more power.

Nitrous oxide () is actually a non flamable gas. but at the high temperatures of the combustion chamber it breaks down into its elements 2N2O ---> 2N2 + O2. Normal air is composed of just under 80% nitrogen and 20% oxygen. This breakdown causes a 1/3 O2 to 2/3 N2 mixture, much more oxygen rich. It is also sprayed in under pressure which translates into very cold and therefore more dense. These 2 things lead to a very oxygen rich environment, allowing for more fuel to be combusted in the chamber.
