hey all I am wanting to purchase a 91 camaro rs w/ the v6. However it is not running in time. It seems to have slight miss in it and owner says that doin the obdo check reveals a code 12?? any idea what the problem may be? is it simply replacing the ecm unit itself? sorry for lack of info.. new to chevy cars.. thanks

 

You need to check for more codes, if he is doing it using a jumper, it will show code 12, any codes that are listed then code 12 again to say it's done. The code 12 comes up to tell you that you are in diagnostic mode.

 

awesome thanks for the response i will take my unit up there and check again.. I was going off of what the old man who owns it told me
