Hello everyone i am new here. So i am 19 years old. I have a very good amount of money saved up to buy a used 2011 chevy camaro. The car im currently looking at is 11.5k, has 78,000 miles on it and is a 2011 2ls automatic . So i found out that the cataylic converter needs to be changed and the car has a check engine supposebly from it. The dealer is going to do it. He is also offering a 2 month bumper to bumper warranty that covers everything in the car. So what i want to know is.. cojsidering the check engine light and the cataylic converter. Does this car seem to be abused or a lemon? I have been to many dealerships and all of them were very dishonest and offered terrible warranties. This dealership has been honest with me from the beginning and is working on the car all the time. His reviews are nearly perfect on every site. So thats the story now heres the question

should i go for it? The car seems to be in mint condition but the check engine light is apparently due to the converter. Another question is how does a 2011 hold up after 80k miles, does it have costly repairs?

how is reliability of a 2011 camqro rather than other year camaros?

Can the catalyic converter cause engune or transmission failure even if replaced? And is 2 minths sufficient time ti test the car and see if there ar3e issues? Please let me know i have been having trouble finding honest dealers and i finally found ine but the car seems to have that 1 problem that the dealer will be fixing frim GM themselves. Thank you

EDIT: just to give further info. The car has 1 owner. No accidents. The carfax seems clean except it failed 1 emission test and the rest passed. The car is from long island NY so i suppose it can be highway miles but im not entirely sure
