what cam to choose 93 z28
ok i need to decide what cam to use on my 93 chevy camaro LT1..im planning on midly building the head with a 3 angle valve job, cam, putting in a crank pulley, and going with intake headers and exhaust.so i would need a cam for a mild setup, that gives good power and has nice idle sound. can anyone help me with this? so many cams out there and i dunno what any of those numbers mean =p
I would call the pros and say texas-speed comp cams or any reputable aftermarket performance manufacturer. Tell them what you plan to do with and they should have something right for what you want. The pros are pros for a reason its better to buy it once with help and get exactly what you want. Than to buy it on your own and mess it up and have to buy it again.
If you're not that experienced with the technical numbers of cams and how those effect performance, you should probably call. The biggest thing is to have the cam matched closely to the flow numbers (both cfm and velocities) of the heads so you get the best power/torque curves.
