swaping 3.8 v6 to carb 350
im going to swap my 3.8 v6 out of my 96 for a carburated 350. i dont want to deal with all the wiring. what little things should i worry about. i have a cowl ind hood for the rise of the carb but as far as mounts, tranny, fuel, electrical, rear end, drive shaft, stuff like that. and what are some decent places to look for parts. any helpful hints.

You will need the frame out of a LT1 car. Tranny you will need an old 700R4. For the rear will depend on the power the 350 has. Do you have a shop you can use to make brakets? I do not think you can buy all the parts to make this a bolt in project. You will need to cut and weld up some brackets.

the question would really be, why?
it's been pointed out the numerous problems with converting ones of these cars to a carbed 350.
wiring will be a nightmare. If you are trying to avoid wiring, I don't understand why you would go for doing more, to avoid less.
once that 350 is in, you had better hope your distributor or any associated parts ever craps out. it will be back so far under the hood, you will have to lift the car to get at it.
fuel shouldn't be a problem to figure out. you will be running supply and return lines to the carb.
what kind of tranny are you planning on using?
if you are planning on putting a hot 350 in, then ya, you should probably upgrade your drivetrain.
if you are just looking for more power, get your PCM tuned, open your exhaust up, clear out your air intake, plugs and wires, air filter, cam and rockers, and you should be able to bump up your 3.8 to a comparable level to a carbed 350. and you should be able to do it for under $1500.
just saying

ok which would be a better route to take swaping an lt1 instead.
the original problem whith my 6 is once it reaches operating is starts to knock give off white smoke around the block head and exhaust manifold and trys to die if it drops to idle. it doesnt overheat there is no coolant in the oil but my radiator is really gunked up. its been flushed 3 or 4 times and there is still crap coming out.

these cars are motor spacific and in order to change the motor to a different size u have to change a s***load of stuff. computer, wireing harness, engine bay, trans, and more. your best bet would be to find a good used 3.8 and change it. u could do some stuff to it before and bring the hp up to a nice level. headers, cat back, cam, rockers, port heads and intake.
