Default swaping my 2.8 for another 2.8

so i burned a piston bearing in my 84 camaro and its been sitting for a couple of months. so i just decided ill get a new engine because the one i have right now really is running bad. so i finally got the money for another 2.8($1,400 rebuilt) i was going to get a 3.4 but i didnt want to mess with the fuel pumps and stuff.

so my queston is could i get my 2.8 supercharged or turbocharged and about how much horse would that give me? and about how much money would that take because dont have a lot to throw around.

you already lost a wad. for $1400.00 you could have gotten a crate 350. turbocharging a 2.8 is pretty much farting in the wind. the 2.8 was built for fuel economy. it doesn't have enough displacement to generate any grand amount of horsepower. sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Sick

You bolt the 2.hate accessories and other fixins to the 3.4L block....if you do it right, it's almost impossible to tell the difference.

I am missing the fuss about fuel pumps here...
