Default speed limiter

does anybody know how much it costs to have a '94 formula firebird reprogrammed at a mechanic to remove the speed limiter.

a normal mechanic usually cannot tune our cars, you need to either send it in to either PCM4less.com or mad tune, but if you want a good tune without sending it in then spend the 400$ on a Dyno tune at your local Qualified Dyno tune shop.

well your mechanic most likely has HPtuners software wich is what most places use to tune our cars, and most mechanics dont have that program.

or he could have just removed the governer with someBasic any carprogram, and didnt ask for specifics such as cam /headers/Transmission/fuel curve, if your going to spend the money might as well get the whole PCM tuned for your Exact application.
