Default Sluggish acceleration, hard start LT1

95 Z28 LT1

88tkm - 55k mls
weekend and sunshine vehicle

Hi, i've got a problem with my camaro,
since last weekend it cranks a while before it starts, but then when it runs in idle everything seems to be ok. nothing sounds bad.
then when i try to accelerate, it does take gas but not as good as it did before last weekend and the pedal seems to be very soft as i had more resistance from the pedal before. the engine doesn't seem to misfire or splutter.
also when accelerating via cruise control it doesn't give me the power it did before.

i put on freescan and scanned for trouble codes but didn't find some, it says that the throttle position is up to 100% when i go on the pedal, so i dont get what it could be.

the car has no oil in the water or something like that, everything seems to me quite normal, and isn't leaking oil or water.

I found a thread about an 3.4 engine with likely similar problems, but the thread was older and i don't know if a v6 problem can be transferred that easy to a v8 problem.

does anyone have an idea what to test for or to replace?

Sorry for the bad english.

did you do a visual around the throttle body area? Any loose vacuum lines?

i would look at fuel pressure first. also how long from its last spark plugs and how old is the opti? changing the fuel filter would be in order as well if its not been changed it a long time.

i had the fuel pump replaced last year and fuel filter also. about the spark plugs i have to ask my buddy who did the stuff for me last year. the optispark is afaik the first one since the car didn't take 60k mls line yet.
will check for the vacuum lines and about the sparks today.

if a cheap fuel pump was used,,, well either way check fuel pressure, test your evap sytem and fuel pressure regulator as well.
sounds like it may be a good time to change the opti, plugs and plug wires. i would recomend the gm performance opti and second choise would be msd.

yeah i heard of that cheap ones.

i've bought mine (ACD 43-914 ) from rmsautoparts, so i think that would be ok.

i will check with my f-body specialised mechanic, for checking the plugs and wiring, etc. since the problem occured first when a heavy rain cloud surprised me.

edit: is there any way to see other peoples car pictures if i'm below 10 posts?

i had a look at the lines around the engine and stumbled over something which I think could be the problem

i've put marks in a picture of another lt1 where one of the lines in my car looks very porously.

maybe i'll try it with taping that one and see if the problem still exists.

Update:

after taping that one the car starts as it should and it accelerates about 50% of time how it should, but the pedal is not giving drag (and feels then softish) all the time and then acceleration is quite low compared to what the car is capable.
anyone with an idea?

will bring the car to my mechanic on thursday for having the sparks replaced and fuelpressure checked. i don't want to buy a new opti....
