And why is that, and how much? M.M.O. is pretty thin, maybe it's no mystery why your pressure is low after all?

no the oil gauge hasn't changed. i put it in there just recently when i switched the filter to mobile 1 to see if im hearing lifters or something, might unstick them. now the noise is a rattle, i can slightly hear it through the dash i think. outside i can hear a sorta rattling/ grinding which is the fan motor going out. but when i rev the engine the rattle increases with the engine. it hasnt gotten better. but it stopped getting worse. just stays the same. i might take it to a shop and have them tell me what all these noises are so i can fix them. could they all be related to the fan motor? gotta bad o2 sensor btw. trying to replace it but i keep running outta time. i cannot get to it for the life of me. don't know if this could be any of it. like i said oil pressure hangs around 35 all the time but gets as low as 20. it seems like it could be a 10000 different things just which one im not sure. i remember when i spun a bearing in my 305 custom deluxe a long time ago but it sounded reaaally bad. then died the next day.... nice... i can hear a very quiet tick from the rockers and lifters but i think its always done that. its not loud. maybe just one lifter went out? dont know...

if my oil pressure is fine. should i check the rocker adjustments? what about an exhaust leak? all i can really do is take your advice, since you guys know more. then if nothing i can take it to the mechanic and fix what he says. could this be coincidence and all this cruds going out at once! or is it new engine time....

What's left, have you tried it in your breakfast cereal yet?
20 psi isn't terrible, it just means the engine is showing it's age. Run thicker oil and don't sweat the pressure. If you had a spun bearing, you would be hearing some serious rod knocking, getting progressively worse, and near zero oil pressure. Get under the car and start banging on stuff with your hand. You could have a loose heat shield on the exhaust, or the cat could be breaking up inside, could be anything. I think a few of your things/sounds are unrelated, and now it's making you worry. Go have a nice warm glass of Marvel Mystery Oil, and call us in the morning!

Yeah, a video might be helpful....if M.M.O. doesn't cure it in the meantime. A zipping noise? Is it a whine or sawing noise? It could be a power steering pump, or even your transmission whining. Could be one of many things, and hearing it may help.
