Random oil psi levels.

Yea a few people are thinking its an oil pan problem. with the extra stroke its causing air to get in the oil.

A deeper pan will help. It will allow the oil level to be lower and away from the crank, and the level will be lower on the dipstick. Also, a baffled pan will help if you do a lot of racing. Make sure to lower the oil pump pickup to match the deeper pan.

do you really think my rings could be bad after a 1500 miles on the motor? You think there is air getting past them?

Do a compression test & find out. IMO the rings should be OK, but if you have air in the oil, the bearings could be taking a beating. If the crank is hitting the oil it will throw a lot of oil into the cylinder walls and overwhelm the rings but should not damage them, and they will hold OK once the cause of excessive oil is corrected.

well im gonna invest in a deeper oil pan as soon as I come up with little extra cash. You think its killing my bearings?
