Default Quick question about fluid levels

I have a '95 V6 3.4 with an auto transmission and am getting ready to change my tranny pan gasket and filter. I don't have my owners manual for the car and was wondering how much fluid should be in the tranny?

Thanks

Anyone? I have found two different answers... 5 quarts, and 8.3 quarts. I guess I will start off with 2 or 3 quarts and just check and add more until it is full.

according to my 94 owners manual, for a drain and refill 4.7 liters, for and overhaul 8.3 liters for the 3.4, the levels are probably the same for a 95 3.4
