pistons with LE Head

Default pistons with LE Head

I am getting my list of things together for my lt1 build. im boring it out to a 355 and running LE2 or LE3 Heads, The rotating assembly im going to be buying comes with Mahle Forged Pistons -5cc or -16c, how do i determine what one i should be getting?

It depends on the compression ratio you want to run. Are you doing an all motor build or boost build? The more negative of a cc of the dome of the piston, the less your compression ratio will be. So if your heads and everything else will be exactly the same, your compression ratio will be smaller with the -16cc pistons compared to the -5cc pistons.

All normal, naturally aspirated. How can i determine compression ratio? I wouldnt mind running 11:1

There are calculator websites that give you a compression ratio depending on what you put in.
Engine Compression Ratio (CR) Calculator
This is one of the sites. Google compression ratio calculator and you should get a few choices.

as far as what head to use, talk to lloyd elliott about it.
