Default new member having issues with serpetine belt

my 1994 lt1 camaro is shredding belts, and they are also squeeling

Moved this to the 4th gen LT1 section where it belongs.
Remove the belt and check your pulleys. You may have one that's locking up, or one that has a worn bearing and isn't tracking straight or is wobbling, putting uneven wear on the belt.

have you put the belt on and looked at all the pullies to see which one is the issue? I'd start there

You will have to visually check to see which pulley is out of line or locked up and casusing the problem.

Is the car new to you? Is this a new issue or one that you have had for a while? Is the car all stock, or has someone replaced pulley's or a component recently? I mention that because it is possible for a replacement part (alternator, power steering pump, idler pulley, etc) to have the wrong pulley on it. It would be rare, but some of the cheaper remanned units don't have the best QA.
