Question new to computers and camaros

hi guys im new to this stuff. i just bought a laptop and am learning to use it so bear with me. well i bought a 95 z28 with the lt-1 5.7 and half way home the tranny went. still got reverse so im thinkin about buyin the rebuild kit from autozone just to get it up and drivin. it sat up for 2 years since yesturday. im a mech but im a truck guy so im new to workin on and with th z28s. its got it problems the air bags have been deployed but its gota clean title. the hood dont close and i the front seal on the trany had a leake i knew that but i made it bout 10 miles befor the fluid draind out and it dont have drive im thinkin i lost first gear band since it still goes in reverse and drives fine in reverse the kit im lookin at is all bands seals the usual minus gears and pump. yall think it will get it rollin again? its havin a problem it runs about 240. and the driver side struts out of line got any tips or advice id appreciate it. its gona be my track car if i can get it drivin decent thanks yall

If it ran out of fluid and stopped moving like you say it may be in your best interest to seek a used or rebuilt replacement. Many of these units come with a guarantee and will save you headaches depending on how cooked your unit is. You should at least change your torque converter and flush the cooler out after a rebuild if you go for it. If the car has been sitting it could have been low on coolant which causes alot of overheating issues on these engines if the air isn't bled out properly.. Is there body damage in the strut area? Some pictures would help alot in that area. Good luck contryboy

are u sure your not just out of trans fluid. heres a couple places i have saved for trans stuff. check em out if u like.
