Default Computers in 2nd gens

When did they (Chevy) start putting computers in the 2nd gen camaros?
I know for sure som of the '81's had them.
I just found an 80 for $500 right up the road from me. The body looks like it's in much better condition than my 77 (which is gonna need a buttload of sheet metal).
I'm kinda kicking around making this guy an offer on the car, but if there's going to be a computer involved, I'm not gonna fool with it. It just seems like a pretty solid car. Complete to a posi 3:73 rear end...so the add says.
Thoughts???Comments???

did you end up getting the 80? I'm not a fan of the big bumper camaros and i like to see people go to later 2nd gens with the rubber nose.

i like it even more when i see them goimg to a 70-73 camaro (my favourite) but i settled with the rubber noses until i can find a early 2nd gen (still keeping the rubber noses cause they are gorgeous too but nothing beats a 70-73).

if you did get it, post some pics of the car and work you do to it (before and after).

Joe

Jump on dat stuff boy! 500 bucks for a parts car is a steal. I can't find anything that cheap around here. Everyone thinks they have the Ark of the Covenant with 20 gold bricks in the truck around here.

They must be related to some of the people here haha,i've seen several like this or worse for anywhere from $1000 to $2800,people act like the car they have is the last one you will ever be able to find and they believe it's priceless haha.
