Default My car wont turn over

I just put a 1997 lt1 engine in my 94 z28.Lights and radio works but wont turn over.I did have to change the pcm also from the 1997.because the 94s was missing could this be the problem.

Yes a OBD2 computer system (your 97) is not plug and play with a ODB1 car. In 96 the system changed over to OBD2 crossing that line with a convertion can be problematic. If you used your 94 wiring harness then finding the 94 PCM is the easiest fix.

If I remember right the VATs wire harness changed, rewiring the Vats is the first step I have no idea how many steps there are going to be in fixing what you have. I think you may end up needing the complete wiring harness from the 97. VATs,Brakes, instrument cluster etc.....

you would be better off finding a ecu for a 94 and using it. the 97 uses many sensors that the 94 does not have. you would need to change the under hood and the under dash wiring harness's. with these harness's you would also have to include any sensors or modules that go with the 97.

i have a 94 camaro 3.4 v6 and the otherday it shut off on me..i had it towed home and tried to start it here and the key got stuck in the ignition. repalced the new ignition and got a new key and it still does nothing.I have no dash lights also. All i have is headlights, turn signals, radio.please can someone help...Oh i forgot i had the starter tested today and the sylinoid was bad. please help i am new this forum stuff

So, if the solenoid is bad, then starter has to be replaced because it is integrated with the starter motor.
