will the lt1 impala ss wiring harness work in the 4th gen camaro? Im doing the v6-v8 swap and i have everything ready in the car for the swap, the engine and all. but just realized that the impala ss harness is different.

 

ummm,,, you just answered your own question. lol. what yr impala and what yr camaro. im sure there different just want to know.

 

Are you trying to use the computer from the Impala? Did you get the LT1 from the Impala as well? Is the Camaro going to have a manual or auto tranny?
You might be able to make it work, but you really need a very detailed wiring diagram for each year wiring loom you have. I am sure that there are a lot of connectors that will be similar, but wired differently between the Camaro and Impala. That is why you would need the wiring diagram for each car to compare your inputs and outputs.
I would think that it will be more trouble than it is worth to make it work. Getting a good harness for your year Camaro would be the easier / better option.

 

Yes i got the lt1 out of a 94 impala. and yes the computer is from the impala as well. and its and auto tranny

 

and your camaro is a 94 auto? the ecm is the same as for the 94 camaro so it should work. far as i know the harness is vehicle specific. i guess you could try to make it work using schematics from both years.
