Ok, Im definatley getting an LT1 camaro or pontiac soon, And just have a few questions for the knowledgeable people. Do these cars respon well the intake manifolds, cams, headers, full exhausdt, etc as well as the 3rd gen 305s do? Like how much power could i expect out of just a full header dual exhaust and an intake manifold with cold air set up? And then if i went a step further and got the lt4 heads and cam and all that? Any help aprreciated, thanks/ Oh and another question, Can the 98+ style trans am nose be swapped onto a 93-97 that anyone knows of? They look pretty similar. Thanks.

 

You could probably expect to get about 325 hp. Cause stock you have 275. New exhuast (headers + cat back w/ high flow cats) would give you maybe 35hp. New intake maifold... maybe 15, and cai would give you maybe 5hp. So around 325-330. I am in the same position as you. I am in the buying stage for an LT1 Z28.... What i have heard is that you should just port and polish the intake and heads, and get the GM Hot cam kit (LT4). That should give you, along with exhaust, about 370-390 hp. PLUS--- It would cost less and give you more hp.

Ya, don't bother with purchasing a new intake or heads unless you're tryin' to push some crazy amounts of power. Get them ported and polished at a reputable place and they'll support at least 500 hp or so...

 

you can swap the fronts but you will need more than just the bumper cover. you will need both fenders and the hood and headlights. it will all bolttogetherwith no mods.
