I would like to know how to gasket match the intake manifold. I have the tools with alittle knowledge" I seen it on T.V." All I need to realy know is how much tocut offand where to cut it? Iplaned on using theold gaskets as a teplate.

 

Get a new itake manifold gasket, place it where it is supposed to go on the manifold and scribe a line around the edge of the gasket, and open up the port to meet the line. Do the same on the head side. You must do both the manifold and the heads otherwise you wind up losing power rather than increasing it. Even if done right, do not expect any great power gains, as the castings are pretty accurate from the factory, and the amount of material you are going to remove is not going to make much of a difference either.
