Ditch the stereo equipment

You can go for a new MAF housing, PCM tune...that's about all I can think of right now for bolt on stuff. You can always go for a new cam...

Some 3.73's or 4.10-11's, would be a good mod.

Come on man...you can't ditch that...you have to be bumpin with some country music when you pull up next to a stupid honda civic that thinks he can beat you...haha

Well, usually I'd rather shoot myself than listen to country...unless when you pull up to that Civic that's playing the cancer causing rap...in which case country is the better alternative, but not by much

yea im gonna agree with 95 on this one... that stereo equipment, mainly the subs, are robbin you blind of power.. mine weighed, with a custom wooden box, probly 75 lbs. man that thing was a terd.. my car was sloppy around turns and slow accelerating.. i guess because they were in the hatch behind the rear wheels.. but it seemed like i gained 15 hp when i took them out.. that is the cheapest way lol to improve the performance

They say that in a 1/4 mile, 10lbs is worth around 3hp, so for a 75lb woofer, I'd say you probably "gained" about 22.5 hp in a 1/4...I'll just let that sink in a bit...
