Default LT1 HP Increase

Anyone knowanyways to increase HP in the LT1 just bytweaking with the engine?

No tweaking on computer managed engines. Keep the plugs and wires fresh and keed the filters clean. You can get the PCM tuned and probably gain another 10 HP.
You can add mods such as Cold Air Intake & cat back exhaust.

how would a not so good cold air intake filter affect your gas milage?

It would affect your mileage if it were more restrictive than the stock intake.

well my air filter is bad, i think it has the little pieces of wire bend and broken in some places, i was going to clean it but it said if it had the wires bend or broken not to use it because it would be usesless
its a K&N filter

Looks like the K&N filters don't last forever either. lol
