there is a power increase. not a lot, but an increase none the less, biggest thing you will notice is throttle responce.
as far as what needs to be done, new harness, and fuel pump, ecm, and all the mechanicals, might as well replace any iffy sensors. Its a lot of work.. some say its worth the time and money, others say its not. depends what your looking for i guess

the cam and heads from the tpi onto the tbi would be a downgrade in hp (smaller cam, same heads). best bet is to save your money from the swap unless you have about a grand to get all the parts you will need. if you stil want an upgrade, go with headers, cam, and a higher flowing tbi unit. that will get a good 50 hp increase for under a grand
the bigger heads from a 350 would reduce compression from what i know (could be wrong). the chip is a waste of money, they do nothing but change the fuel map and require you to run at least 92 octane.
the headers and tpi setup may net you about 50 hp increase. and it would be a weeks worth of work doing everything required from about sun up to sun down. not sure if you have help doing it, any experience, etc. the tpi isnt all that great in my opinion (my car is tpi). if i were you, id start off with just headers and exhaust, intake manifold, and either a bigger tbi assembly or converting to a carb if legally permitted. you can also do ignition to get some performance, namley wires, plugs, and a high voltage coil.

to Microkid,i have good exhaust 2 1/2 inche magnaflow, stock headers and aluminum intake.what intake do u prefer keeping in mind all my parts come from junk yards so car name and motor size is helpful.do u think iroc heads would be good? and what all is needed to be changed when converting to 4 barrel?
hmm... its sounding like your not quiet sure what you have there camaro..
but when converting to the 4 bbl, youll need the manifold, a non computer controlled distributor, and the actual carb, obviously..

If your a good spotter at the salvage yards, then what you want to lay your hands on are a set of corvette aluminum heads! look for casting number 10088113 they have much bigger ports and allow for maximun airflow. Or you can purchase a set of AFR Heads they have larger valves and ports and give you exceptional performance right out of the box, however to maximize the total package, add the intake, and cam.
