Default lt1 heads

considering a lt1 or an ls1 swap into the camaro instead of the TPI i was going to use. anyway. im wondering what heads will work on the LT1? do they HAVE to be designed for that block or can any SBC head work? If they have to be for the LT... whats a GOOD flowing semi high compression head i could use?

Well...technically any SBC head is going to bolt up, that said you're going to want to use a head that's made for the LT1 to get it to match the intake correctly. If you're looking strictly for an aftermarket head I would recommend going with AFR, it's hard to lose with them. They're a little pricey, but the quality is amazing and they have great mid-lift numbers. If you already have a set of LT1 heads most of us will recommend getting the stock heads worked over as well as a cam. If you're looking for just head work check out www.totalengineairflow.com or www.advancedinductions.com if you're willing to shell out a little more cash and get a whole top end check out www.dragonrace.com or http://www.elliottsportworks.com/

LE 1-3 just means the stage of porting he does. its not a complete engine. he would port and polish your heads and match a cam to suit your needs and wants. if you do much research you will find a lot of people that use his stuff. i will be in the future as well

if your buyin a set of new heads id look at total engine airflow cnc'd trickflow heads or at advanced induction trickflows. but if your goin to get the stockers ported lloyd and AI are great AI is a bit more but they have some insane setups. they hav a customer with there 200cc heads that ran 9.86 on a mild HR and a 150 shot on the stock bottom end. ive looked into both and i think lloyds great but for wat im doin im using advanced inductions
