Exclamation lt1 auto 4.10 gears...what stall t/c????

hey im currently having my 4l60e rebuilt and got a call from the shop wondering what size stall i wanted. car has 410 gears, he mentioned 1400 stall 1600 stall and 2100 stall. I do a fair amount of daily driving during summer and was curious about the pros/cons of the different stall sizes as well as street/strip performance with the 4.10s??? what are your preferences?? All help appreciated!

Yep, and add an external cooler after the radiator cooler and fill it from the bottom up as this purges the air from the cooler.
The larger the cooler, the better.
I haven't had or heard of trans failing with too cool of oil.

Stall is more dependent on the cam operating range than anything else. Stock cam I wouldn't go any less than 2500 with that gearing. Stock stall is 1600-1800 iirc.

Get an external cooler first, as others said. You will want to keep the fluid as cool as possible with the extra heat the higher stall will produce.
