WE HAVE LIFE!! I turned the negative terminal, the alarm went off.. pressed a button, it went off, and started the car!!!!!!!!!!!

find a brand name and any numbers on the remote or any other parts of the alarm system and do some searching on the net. see if you can find directions. might try a thread on here with a picture of the remote, heck someone may know what it is and can tell you where to find directions or give a quicky course on operating. i have seen a few alarm systems cause problems.

My '94 had an aftermarket alarm on it when I bought it a couple years ago. Gave me nothing but problems. I finally just ripped the whole thing out and tossed it in the trash.

I would suggest that you do what you can to find out everything about the alarm you have now. If it is no longer supported by the manufacturer, I would personally rip it out and get something newer / better.
