I have not heard anything as far as the sounds go but I have owned a 95 and now I have this 93 Camaro Z28s and both leaked oil from the intake. They both leaked in the rear portion of it.

The common intake oil leak makes no noise, it just makes a mess. An air/vacuum leak in the itake may or may not make noise, but it will make the car run bad. If it is bad enough to make noise, it is usually a high pitched whistle.

The reason that most LT1's leak from the intake manifold is either a bad casting or the bendable little tube right behind the intake manifold(egr?) is too close to the gasket and needs to be pulled away, and heat wrapped. I youve ever fixed one you can see a yellow stain/burn mark on the seat right by where that tube would be, its not a problem if the mark is there it just confirms that it was the culprit. usually the rear left if looking at it from the front.
