whats the best way to get the oil pan off???

so with the flexplate off it still made the noise? have you taken the belt off to take any other things out of the equation.

How would I run it with the flexplate off and yes the belts off

yah my mind sorta left there for a minute. lol. sorry bout that. did you run it with the new flex plate.

pan on my lt1 wasnt to bad to take off. had to lift the front of the motor as far as i could. already had the intake off so that stuff was outa the way and let me litft it a tad more. gota take the oil dipstick housing out, that can be a pain.

3 of the 8 rod bearings are shot

Were they spun? That's what the awful scraping/squeaking noise kinda sounded like.

That really sucks after all the effort you have put into the car.

Did you drop the whole engine out when you did the other work? Or just the topend (heads and intake). I thought I read somewhere that you replaced the rings and bearings while you working on it. If you did, did you have the crank checked?

I pulled the motor before but today I just dropped the pan I didn't get the crank checked I'm thinking I under or over tightened the caps I think my torque wrench is off I'm going to get it calibrated at work tomorrow
