Be very careful then. If whatever you are trying to hold it with gets wedged between the flexplate and TC, then it will start rotating and could cause a fair amount of damage or seriously injure you.

I an not a LT1 expert but why is there no oil shooting out of the rockers? With no oil deflecting clips installed you should have a heck of a mess. There should be oil hitting the inner fenders.

I've seen small block do it both ways. Shoot oil clear of the fenders and just a steady stream running over the lifters.

Are you sure you have good oil pressure? Try dipping a pc a paper towel into the oil and look at it with a magnifying glass. With an old school SBC that amount of oil coming out of the lifters would be a problem. The oil should be splashing around a lot. That oil is the only cooling the valves have.

Its not exploding out of the rockers but its deff flowing good oil pressure is where it always is about 1/4 at idle and jumps to about 1/2 with throttle

i used a piece of paper as my paper towels have wicked texture but still the oil looks good a few specks of metal but no chunks (kinda made me think someone put glitter in the oil)
