how hard is it to install an intake fuel pump?

ok the pump finally came in the mail. I'm gonna go with the cuttin the hatch method needless to say. When i pull the pump out is it gonna be just a direct parts replacement, ( I mean a no brainer) or is there some crazy certain steps that need to be taken?

Should be direct bolt on application. Unscrew all the old stuff. Screw in all the new. Call it good lol

Crab Man, can you make a separate thread with the procedure and a the picture with the hole dimensions. I will make it a sticky as it seems this is a very common question. Thanx

ok well i cut out the opening to craby's specs in the picture. but I could not get the pump out. it keeps hitting the hole that its droped down it. any suggestions?

so its hitting the body or the tank? you may want to losen the tank so it will drop a little or make the hole a little bigger. ive seen some were it was closer to the front edge.

heres what i have so far. i will continue to look for better stuff and when i change mine again (hope not for a long time) ill take lots of pictures and do a write up if needed.

ok i just got finished doing it. my problem was i had to take out the lines before i could take out the pump. then i cut a piece of sheet medal then screwed and siliconed it over the hole i cut.
