I just bought my 1996 z28 a month ago and looking to make some improvements, and cannot tell whether i have the stock or not cold air intake system on there. I have been looking all over for pictures online but they only show modded ones. Mine is black with coated plastic but still somewhat cylindrical except for a couple humps. A friend of mine took a look with me and thought it might be the k & N but there is no logo on it anywhere. If this is way too vague I could probably find a way to post some pics. thanks for the help!

 

Pics would definitely help us identify it. Does it have a cone filter, or does the tubing and such go to a box (filter housing)?

 

yah, i will try to get pics up tomorrow, the tubing goes down to a cylindrical housing with a blue metal air filter

that would be a aftermarket CAI, looks like a Lingenfelter to me

Yah im pretty sure it's a moroso now. Either way im just gonna leave it alone and work on adding something else...

 

Moroso is pretty good. Lingenfelter imho is better from what ive seen and heard.

 

okay, if anything im just gonna put a custom aluminum pipe in w my friend, id rather have it look decent than get that extra 2 hp haha
