Default Distributor..

95 z28. 160k miles. Bought the car used 10k miles ago. No big performance mods (besides ram air and 160 degree thermo)

Reading from the receipts-
lt1 replaced 28k miles ago.

The distributor was replaced with a ACDelco remanufactured distributor 19k miles ago. 1000 miles after that the distributor was warrented as the car died during idling.

About 2 weeks ago, the car had a hard time starting. After getting it started, the car was misfiring and the RPMs were going all over the place, until it finally died and wouldn't turn over. Took it to a shop were they told me the fuel pressure was good, wasnt getting any opti codes, and that the distributor cap was burned. They said one of the wires got hot from the gas manifold and burned itself and the cap. They replace the cap. They also said they replaced the wire with a used one. Car runs fine, and notice the engine doesn't shake anymore.

Driving it yesterday when i notice two small misfires. Went to a friends house, stayed the night, then left in the morning. After leaving his house, the car dies again in the middle of the road. The RPMs drop below 0 and check gauges comes on.

Is it time for a tune up? I haven't checked the spark plugs or wires..

LTI replaced 28k miles ago? As in a new engine? Is the car running now, or still sitting on the side of the road? Maybe time for plugs/wires if fuel pressure is good. Check engine light on? What is the code?
