Default Could it be the clutch???

ok guys i'm having somewhat of a problem with my car, ok so this is what its doing. When i punch in the clutch i can hear a sound kinda like chattering like if something is loose and is hitting on something, also when i'm releasing the clutch when on gear from 1st, i can only hear it at 1st gear it sound like is chattering and once the clutch is about 80% fully out it stops, also sometime i have the clutch in and it wount shift into any gear and after a few tries it shifts, any idea??

Yes, they are sold separately. Either one requires that the transmission be removed, so don't buy parts till you have taken a good look. However, due to all the labor involved, this would be a good opportunity to replace the clutch disk, pressure plate and release bearing at the same time, and don't have to worry about the clutch for a long time.
