Default clutch squeal with clutch not pressed

hello i got a 1995 camaro 5 speed well today i was driveing and for some reason i rolled down my window and turned down my music and i can hear a lowd squeal from the clutch but if i push it in no squeal any ideas it got worse since this morning had to drive it home from work

If you have a worn and squeaky throwout bearing, and it's riding free-wheel on the pressure plate, that could be the squeak you hear. Then the noise would go away when you put a load on it (pedal down). Keep an ear out for it though. If it is the bearing going bad, it'll start making a nastier grinding sound when you push the pedal in.
