clutch

Default clutch

Last night was bad,on my way to get dinner and went put it in six gear and my clutch pedal just went to the floor.There was no warning at all.Its a 93 z28 with 122,*** miles on it.Msd 6al,cat back,K&N,52mm body.Ive check master cylinder and its got fulid,no lines are hanging off.Anybody have any ideas before I buy a new clutch.Right before christmas too.Marry christmas guys

Well it's not your clutch. It's the hydrolic system. I would check the cylinder for leaks, and the lines. If there is nothing leaking from there, you might have a bad throw out bearing. I would fill the cylinder up and see if it holds fluid still. If brake fluid came in contact with the clutch friction material, it should be replaced.

Thanks thats what I was thinking.Wanted to see if anybody has had this,its not leaking any fuild.So looks like the tranny is coming out.Whats a good clutch to put in?I may put some no2 on it down the road.

The hydraulic cyliders can go bad without leaking externally.

A zoom clutch would be fine for a moderate shot of NOS.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH NO CLUTCH PEDAL AND MINE WAS A BAD SLAVE CYLINDER

I PUT A RAM PRO GRIPPER 3 CLUTCH IN MY CAR AND IT PERFORMS GREAT 8 SPRINGS AND NO SLIP ALSO NOT AWFULLY EXPENSIVE.
