seals- as crab said, the top one for sure but the 2nd one is not a bad idea. The 3rd, or bottom one requires removal of the hub so if it's dry, let it be.

And about the coil wire- I should have pointed out that when i said i saw one go bad only when hot, it did not necessarilly mean on the LT1 engine, but on the LT1 I did have a flaky opti harness that was random and I just took a wild guess, replaced it and got lucky. But, I have had my share of bad GM optisparks so whether you get GM, summit, MSD whatever, you have the same risk with respect to QA (quality assurance)

I understand that 100% of the parts made won't be 100% good but that's ok with items that are easy to gain access, not optisparks or fuel pumps.....uuuggghhhhhh

Be careful installing the seal on the waterpump shaft, I put mine on wrong the first time and ruined a new GM opti. It is very tricky and if the seal folds outward, it will leak oil into your opti. The timing chain slings oil pretty hard and it will need to be on correctly like they are saying. Here is the thread by camaro69 that craby mentioned.

How do I get the bottom pully off of the opti? I already removed the 3 bolts from the front of it?
