95 engine swap

Default 95 engine swap

I have a 95 3.4 camaro. The V-6 isn't good enough. I want to put a 383 stroker in it. I have the block but wonder if it is to hard to bother. My plan is to just have it carburated not fuel injection. I am planning on re-doing the interior and exterior. I live in indiana so I doubt emissions will be a problem. If you have any advise let me know.

This can be a ,major transplant, especially if you are going to use a manual transmission. My suggestion is to trade in for a v8 car and then go to the 383. Otherwise you will need in addition to the engine, the complete V8 drivetrain, ECU, wiring harnesses, etc.. Going to a carburator will make things a little simpler, if you are not going to register the car. Otherwise, if your state does emission tests it is going to fail, just because it has a carb instead of fuel injection.

But it is allways good to have the hook up, like here my car wont pass emissions by any means, unless you know someone. lol

Just another thaught. Your 383 needs to be based on an LT1 block, otherwise you may not have clearance for a distributor at the rear of the engine, or clearance under the hood for anything other than a LT1 type injection sytem.

I'v seen guys put carbed motors in the 4th gen chassis but they cut part of the cowl away and need to run at least a 3 inch cowl induction hood.
