Default Engine swap!

Thanks for stopping by:

I was wondering what level of dificulty was it to change a v6 engine for an V8. Main concern is if the tranmision would still be abble to be used with the V8...

My camaro is a 96 V6 3.6 engine.... new engine is a 5.7 V8 engine.

If anyone has any experience at swapping engines please help... or if there is any other concerns or car/engine/tranmision parts that i would need to upgrade to make this engine swap work, please let me know.

Att: Xavier

Haha! Yeah look at my profile posts. I've pondered the same thing time and again. But if you really want a project to do then I would recommend buying a partially wrecked z28 donor car to salvage all the parts off of. There are just too many little parts that add up to a lot that you need for it all to come together right.

How about this? Dump the v6, sell it, and get a v8 maro?! Really this is asked quite often and the best and easiest way is to just get rid of the v6 and buy a car with the v8 already in it. So much easier and probably cost the same as doing the swap minus the trouble. Look into that way first before attempting the swap. Good luck.
