ive got a 94 z28 with the 4l60e. just traded for it on sat knowing the reverse had issues. it started out like this: before i left with the car (he told me it didnt work at all). the reverse will move a lil when car is cold and undriven for a while (day or 2). when im in reverse it makes a very faint grinding or whining noise and wont pull at all if i so much as touch the gas. after i got home the trans stopped pulling all together. 1st, 2nd, so forth and so on.. i changed the filter and fluid (was a lil brown and had a mild burnt smell). after that, the reverse stayed the same, but i got the forward gears back for the time being. i had to let off the gas and let the rpms drop to around 2 for 2nd to slide in, then it was fine afterwards... about a day later it got much more difficult to go into 2nd and overdrive wouldnt engage and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th would slip if i put and kind of goose to it. then 4th didnt engage and slipping got worse. then 3rd went and very shortly 2nd. this all happened in a days time the day after the filter change.. but 1st gear is still strong. i can draw doughnuts all day long if i want, but no 2nd or 3rd. shes up on jackstands right now and im pulling it out tomarrow. im planning on buying a master rebuild kit and hoping it will fix the problem. if anyone can help me please do!!! this is my way back and forth to work and id like to fix it asap!.. much appreciated!

i think im going with the level 3 raptor from transmission center. havnt completly made up my mind yet. pro street at 700r looks good to. u may want to try and find one used to hold u over.
