I have the 4L60E trans in my 94 Z28 and it started acting up the other day acting like it was slipping and not shifting right, having a mind of it's own. So I parked it for the night thinking about the possiblilties and got in it the next morning and drove it and it was fine. Any ideas??? I talked to a transmission shop and they told me to drop the pan change the filter and do a general inspection to see if there is something maybe coming apart in there. I am doing that tonight. They told me they could not hook up their scanner to it because of the high stall torque converter I have on it and it would throw a code no matter what. Does having a clog in there somewhere sound about right or could it be a possible soleniod?? Any info would be great thanks!

 

Well I took the pan off and did not find anything abnormal so I don't know. After I put the pan back on and filled the tranny back up I drove it and it seems to be fine for now. Any insight that anyone might have would still be too. Thanks
