94 Z28 auto.....hesitation puzzle

RE: 94 Z28 auto.....hesitation puzzle
Well ran around this weekend with the Auto Xray on the TCC - still seemed to show LOCKED and UNLOCKED as normal - even when there was a little hesitation - anyone know if the Xray is reading the Module output or the actual solenoid position/status?
Will try and scan the MAF output when driving now - not sure if I have the corrct scanner/capability to get data on ECT or IAT...have to find the Xray manual for that!!!!
Do appreciate everyon'e suggestions - hope that by process of elimination we can get to the root cause for all of us 94 Z-ers!

I dont know if this would make any difference in the hesitation puzzle, but whenever I turn my air on, doesnt matter if AC, heat, or just the vent, my battery gauge will drop almost to the red line and the car starts to shake like its havin a hard time stayin runnin. I bought about 2 years ago a higher voltage battery, I dont think thats the problem, would it maybe be the alternator and would that maybe cause hesitation?

Well, better late than never (as some would say!)....am having the optispark, leads and plugs changed out today.
Costing $1300, and have had to convince wife that it is worth 'investing' as we could give it to our eldest in a year or two!
Keeping fingers crossed that all the stuttering and hesitation goes away.
FWIW I also had a transmission check - fixed a leak I had seen and confirmed that TCC was working fine.

just a suggestion having been through the same pain you're experiencing. I thought my problems were simply the opti-spark.. it turned out to be a plugged catalytic converter and a bad EGR valve.

well i forgot that i didn't post the answer to how i fixed my car. i took the air induction system apart and found that the bottom of the elbow tube (not sure of the actual name) right after the MAF had broken off. The engine was getting un measured and unfiltered air. Thats what caused th surges and the sputturing. Bought a new one and its all good now.

OK is that like bad luck or what! I fixed the car and it runs good for like 2 weeks and as soon as i post that its working fine... BAM it acts up again.
grrr im gunna have to take it to the shop. I better get ready to throw $$ away.
