What's the real answer?

flowmaster catback the only issue i had was when pulling out my driveway the tips would tap the concrete but they were 3.5 inch tips (i have a weird lip at the end of my driveway)

Ahhh. The other thing is I'm planning on getting a cam in the future. It's definitely not in the near future... but I will do it someday. I want to make at least 400 to the wheels. How will the 3 inch y hold up to that? Or the 2.5 true duals?

either will be fine. 400whp would only require mild cam, say a TR224r or Torquer V2, or my favorite the TR228. The 3 inch y is probably the least of your worry, the 1 3/4 primaries on your LT's will probably hold you up more. On stock internal ls1's, ive seen claims of gaining a good bit of power by just going to 1 7/8 LT's, with a cam that gain will multiply

2.5" duals is overkill for your goal, reportedly:
A 2.75” (stock) single system is good for a 310hp engine with zero loss…
A 3” Single system is good for a 370hp engine with zero loss…
A 3.5” Single system is good for a 503hp engine with zero loss…
A 4” Single system is good for a 657hp engine with zero loss…
A 2.25” dual system is good for a 457hp engine with zero loss…
A 2.5” dual system is good for a 513hp engine with zero loss…
A 3” dual system is good for a 812hp engine with zero loss…

And no I'm not lowered.
And dang the primaries are too small? I didn't think it would be bad unless I had some more serious power. I bought the Pacesetters because they were pretty cheap and of course much better than stock.
And back to the other question... what are the main differences between an x or an h pipe? I've heard alotta different things so... what's the real answer haha?

X pipes generally promote better scavenging, but H pipes supposedly sound better. Duals will always sound better than a y pipe setup, that is the main reason why people run duals on our cars

2.5 and Y pipe is the way to go for a street car. The factory ECU handles it better and its way easier to tune. The 2.5 exhaust will handle every thing you need just fine and you dont have the clearance issues you will run into the the 3.0.
Regardless of what size pipe you run go with a Y pipe. It just works.

I don't have the factory tune I have a PCMforless tune. And here we go again... I heard the complete opposite when it came to x vs h. I heard that h has better scavenging but the x sounded better. Now failed devices says the opposite. Haha I don't know... I'm going to go with an X I think. I'll talk to my exhaust guy. And now im going to go read your ls1tech link
