Default Turn Signal Problem

Alright so ive had this problem where i kept blowing out lights on my driverside front turn signal. I never knew what it was but when i baught the car (last year) they didnt work. So i put on a new socket and put a new bulb in there and it kept doing the same thing. So i started to look more into it...the top of the assembly was melted and there was water in it So then i figured out what was blowing them out. I didnt want to put the car back to stock so i baught some $15 assmeblys off ebay (clasy i know) but we put these new lights in and when i go to turn the left turn signal on it stays lit. no flashing..but the right side flashes just fine... and i think they both use the same flasher. anyways any input would be great thanks
