i wouldnt go 4.10's on a 10 bolt. stock power levels are already enough to ruin a 10 bolt, gearing it to 4.10's would only increase the chance of failure. 3.73 would be the highest i would go with a 10 bolt.

 

Greycon88, why do you want to change the gears? Did you up horsepower? Without more hp, you won't gain anything from simply changing gears. It might feel faster, but that's about it

 

Of course, I know this. That is why I am doing this mod with a head and cam swap.

 

a gear change can help your et in the quarter mile and it can improve your rate of acceleration.

 

And maybe fuel economy, right?

 

How would you know which option the car has? I have a 94 Z, and a 99 Z, both Automatics and want to figure out if I have the optional 3.23s or the 2.73s. I also have a 2002 Formula M6. I know that has 3.42s as I know that all that came in it.
