Default Looking at buying... have some Q's

Hi guys,
As you can all tell from my post count, I am very new here. I am looking at buying a new car (have had a ford truck, a dodge SRT-4, and a Jeep Wrangler), and it is time to try out a Chevy. I have found a 2001 Camaro SS with 70k miles on it, it is an auto, t-top, has an slp intake lid, and an slp air induction hood. I guess the questions I have are what is a good starting price for one in good condition. Also, what are some problems to look for, things I should be aware of, and what future problems may I run into? I have looked through the noob stickies so I was hoping by coming here and posting I could just get all my questions answered in one spot. Thanks for the opinions,
Eric.

Where are you located? A car like that around me would be around here would be around $15k from a dealer and maybe $12-13 from an individual seller.

agreed. Depending on location I would say on average $10-11 k for the auto.

ive had my 01' SS for about a year now and bought it at $9000 with 80k miles on it and i live in Flordia. only problems ive had so far is replacing the window motors, and from what ive seen this is a common issue among the f bodys. other than that and a broken transmission mount ( my fault tho ) nothing problematic. LS1's are alot stronger than ppl give them credit for i would definitly recommend them to anyone who wants a reliable but powerful car
