Default Exaust?

I was just wondering if I could get some opinions on what kind of exuaste I should go with, I have a Z28 LS1, and was wanting to start with some headers and go from there, and I would like to go without catalyc converters. I liked how borla sounded, the price tag was killer, and I was wondering if I could still get that good sound if I just bought the borla muffler, that is after the rest of the stuff?

As far as sound, yes but it performs better with a mandrel bent system. you might see a 2hp difference in just the muffler change and the whole kit. I would keep the cat. The O2 sensors are sensitive and w/o it you'll lose gas milage. There are O2 simulators, but they don't last long.

My O2 sims have been on for over 10,000 miles. And if you get a tune you can tune the code out and never have to worry.
