clutch problems
whats up everyone, im a little lost at the moment and im hoping somone here can help me out. I have 98 Z28 6-speed camaro and im having problems with the clutch. I just bought it a few months ago and it drove great and then the clutch pedal started going away on me and now i have to push it all the way to the floor to pop it out of gear and it engages again after i come about an inch off the floor. Well first thing i went for was the master cylinder, which was empty. i put some fluid in it and saw some air bubble out and then it worked great again. i thought i got pretty lucky. well now my pedal comes and goes whenever it likes. i know it just need to have the air bled out but i looked all over under the damn thing and i cant find a bleeder valve. i followed the line from the slave cylinder all the way to the transmission and the line just goes strait into the transmission casing. Does anyone know how the heck to bleed one of these???????
I am pretty sure you need to dissconnect the line to bleed it. BTW the 98-00 cars had crappy clutch hydrolics, but a there is a mod called "the drill mod" that helps out, try searching google for it.
the bleeder is inside the bellhousing i beleive i had to change out my master and slave a while ago and it was the worst car to bleed , it took forever but anyway good luck , if your car has more then 60 k on it you probly need a new master and slave ...my slave was jammed on a angle.. it wasnt fun to change the tranny was the heaviest ive ever lifted i could barly hold it myself above my head and yeah as far as i know the only way to change the slave is to take out the tranny..
