Default cats

hey i was trying to take off my cats so i can hollow them out to get a little more sound, but i cant get the bolts out of where the cats meet the exhaust manifolds.....i tried using pb blaster, and even an air rachet but i cant bust em loose...any suggestions?

Probably too rusted to get off without breaking. I suggest buying an off road y pipe, gets rid of the cats and the annoying crushed stock y pipe.

He is right on. You can pick one up for around 200 bucks new.

Try to spray them with Blaster for a couple of days. Exhausts can get REALLY seized up though.

Have you tried to use an impact gun instead of an air ratchet?? They have more torque.

IF you really want to be safe just use a breaker bar with a socket or the regular wrench and attach another wrench on the end for some torque.

You're probably going to snap em off if you don't heat the crap out of them with a torch first.

If it were me I would save the headache & more than likely the skin on my knuckles & definitely a whole arsenal of foul language. Get an off-road Y & swap out the whole section as it will be cleaner & stronger with improved exhaust flow & sound.

Unless you are trying to keep things visually legal??
