OK guys i'm stumped. I have an 84 berlinetta with a 305, a/c and auto trans. The head gasket went and i bought a new 305, out of an 82 Z28(not the H.O one) Everything sat in there and bolted up nice nice, except the Y-Pipe. It's touching the starter, and it still needs to be drawn up to the manifold on the passenger side by 1/2" or so. It bolted right up to the driver side manifold no problem, but the passenger side is all wonky. the crossmember and tranny pan andd exhaust look like they took a hit, could it have bent the y pipe? and why did it fit fine on the other engine? I'm out of ideas.
