Default Pacesetter headers?

I have a 96 camaro ss and I have been thinking about buying some pacesetter headers but I dont know which kind is best. Also I am wanting to put on a magnaflow exhaust system with the headers. Am I going to have to buy a y-pipe or new cats to make it work? I was wondering what everyone thought.

long tube headers are the best for performance and they do reqire a y pipe. what state do you live in? check and make sure what you want to do is legal. example, long tube headers are not legal in california

you could if you built your own y pipe but im not sure how stock cats flow, other than that, no as far as i know for long tube headers you have to get a catted y. the shorty headers bolt up to a stock exhaust so you could use the stock cats, keep in mind the gains from shorty headers are minimal.

I have a question similar to this. I just bought longtube pacesetter headers with the y-pipe for a 96 Z28 LT1. My question is that I don't want the cats on there anymore but this car has 4 o2 sensors on it. The longtubes have holes for the front ones but what about the other two sensors? I don't want this car to run like trash either and I know it will need a tune once they are installed but what steps should I take?

the rear sensors are for monitoring the cats so they are no longer needed, you will have to have them tuned out or you will have a ses light on all the time.

I've had a set of Pacesetters for 3 years now. Welds look fine and haven't cracked and fit without any problems lol.
